We’re ARK, a team that who focuses on creating spaces for the creative industry and local community to utilise, be that events venues, film locations, studios, residential spaces, and workshops. We take vacant spaces and bring them back to life! We also work in the events, film and experiential industry creating unique backdrops for a variety of projects.

The Old Joinery began at the start of 2016 when we turned down a derelict 19th century warehouse into an Events, Studio & Film Location. Initially only operating out of our warehouse space we hosted a variety of projects working with amazing people who utilised the space for arts, filming, theatre, live music and everything in between.

At the end of 2019 we were given the opportunity to take on the whole site where the The Old Joinery is located and in doing so it allowed us to open the space up to the local community turning it in to a public house and live music venue as well as a film location and utilising the otherwise empty spaces as residential properties, studios and workshops.
